剧情：
电影分为三个发生在不同时期、地点但是相互有着关联的故事。 《背影》：陈经理（陈柏霖 饰）受公司所托前往广西进行业务考察，在工厂里，他意外的遇见了和自己失散多年的父亲。如今的父亲已然垂垂老矣，他早已经认不出儿子的面庞了，而陈经理也似乎并没有和父亲相认的打算。 《湖畔》：陈德明（陈柏霖 饰）刚刚喜为人父，一封来自监狱的信便冲淡了这份喜悦。原来，他曾经的挚友（杨佑宁 饰）即将面临死刑的制裁，他要去新加坡送他最后一程。 《再见》：大学教授陈志彬（陈柏霖 饰）前往泰国讲学，在那里邂逅了曾经的大学老师（蒋雯丽 饰），两人重续了一段师生恋。
