剧情：
故事发生在犯罪之都里约热内卢，桑德罗（Michel Gomes 饰）本是一个单纯快乐的孩子，但所有美好的一切都在他亲眼目睹母亲被强盗杀死后荡然无存了。在内心巨大的痛苦和愤怒面前，桑德罗迷失了方向，他开始自暴自弃，终日和当地的一些犯罪团伙混在一起。在同伴的引诱下，桑德罗不仅自己开始吸食毒品，更干起了危险的贩毒勾当，生意越做越大。 在警察开展的毒品大清洗运动中，桑德罗险中逃生，之后，他遇见了唯一能给他带来温暖的人——梅丽莎（克里斯·维纳 Chris Vianna 饰）。原来，梅丽莎正在寻找自己失踪的儿子，年龄和体格都与桑德罗相仿，在误打误撞之间，梅丽莎成为了桑德罗的母亲，但这并不能阻止桑德罗走向自我灭亡的脚步。
