剧情：
故事发生在二次世界大战结束之后，残酷的战争摧毁了大部分的城市和土地，女人成为了战争最大的受害者。在经历了漫长的等待之后，有26位新娘终于能够和日思夜想的恋人们相聚了，她们搭载着一架名为“新娘航班”的飞机，千里迢迢赶往恋人的身边。艾达（卡琳娜·丝穆德 Karina Smulders 饰），艾斯特（安娜·崔佛 Anna Drijver 饰）和马乔里（爱丽丝·夏普 Elise Schaap 饰）都是这些女人中的一员。 飞机上，艾达邂逅的英俊的弗兰克（沃德玛·托伦特拉 Waldemar Torenstra 饰），两人迅速坠入了情网，而之后，艾斯特却在和弗兰克的露水情缘中怀上了他的孩子。孩子出生后，艾斯特将他送给了无法生育的马乔里。婚后的艾达依然无法忘记弗兰克，她的深沉情感最终被丈夫发现。
