剧情：
公元17世纪中叶，法国宫廷改朝换代，年轻俊朗的路易十四（莱昂纳多·迪卡普里奥 Leonardo DiCaprio 饰）继位，却是个荒淫无道、暴虐成性的君主。举国上下怨声载道，暴乱不断，路易却从未有半点反省与收敛。此时此刻，曾经风光一时的三剑客们尘埃落定，可是路易设计害死了阿多斯（约翰·马尔科维奇 John Malkovich 饰）的儿子拉乌尔，霸占了拉乌尔的未婚妻，这迫使阿拉密斯（杰里米·艾恩斯 Jeremy Irons 饰）、波尔朵斯（杰拉尔·德帕迪约 Gérard Depardieu 饰）、阿多斯重新拿起搁置多年的剑，密谋推翻路易的暴政。在曾经的好友——皇家侍卫长达尔大尼央（加布里埃尔•伯恩 Gabriel Byrne 饰）缺席的情况下，三剑客从牢里找来了戴着铁制面具的犯人菲利普（莱昂纳多•迪卡普里奥 Leonardo DiCaprio 饰），其真实身份竟然是路易的双胞胎兄弟！ 他们试图用菲利普取代路易，一着前所未有的险棋，攸关千万人的命运……
